Wow, can you believe that it's been nearly nine months since I've written in this thing?! I've been somewhat inactive here on dA over the past year. I'm not really sure exactly why; I guess it's just been one of those off seasons in my personal life. Things have been going a bit slowly these days, which has been nice. Honestly, my first two years of college were filled with an extreme lack of focus, and I ended up getting...for lack of a better word...burned out.

But one thing still remains the same - dA is always my happy place. It's great to be back again, and I hope I can actually be here consistently this time around.

I've officially started a portrait business of sorts here in the East Texas area, called - simply enough - J.B. Lewis Photography! [link] It's been going really well so far, with quite a few engagement shoots, one bridal shoot, and several senior portrait sessions to date. I've been gradually uploading some of my work here on dA over the past several months, so if you've missed anything, be sure to check it all out in the "recent" section below! (recent being...the last eight to nine months )

Meanwhile, I've got a lot of catching up to do here on dA...so many amazing new changes! Critiques, new page layouts...perhaps someone can fill me in on it all. At any rate, it's wonderful to be back again - please drop me a note and let me know how you're doing! We've got a lot to catch up on.
